Ashwagandha is one of the most popular adaptogens on the market, and for good reason: it's a powerful immune system booster, stress reliever, and mood stabilizer.
It's been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years and is recognised as the King of Ayurvedic herbs.
But not all Ashwagandha supplements on the market are created equal. Here are some tips and considerations to make when selecting the best Ashwagandha product for your health needs:
In order to reap all the amazing health benefits from Ashwagandha, you need to make sure your Ashwagandha product is a root-only extract. Scientific studies and traditional use over thousands of years have focussed on the use of Ashwagandha roots.
Many Ashwagandha suppliers produce Ashwagandha supplements that use the plant's leaves instead of just the roots. This is cheaper to produce but diminishes the quality and potency compared to Ashwagandha supplements that use only the roots.
